SSC GD Constable 2021 Registration: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct an open competitive examination for 25271 recruitments to the posts of Constable (General Duty) in Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Secretariat Security Force (SSF) and Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles (AR) as per the Recruitment Scheme formulated by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).

✔ Nationality/ Citizenship:

Candidate must be a citizen of India. Vacancies are state/ UT wise hence a candidate must submit domicile/ PRC against his state/ UT.

✔ Age Limit:

Age of SSC GD is 18-23 years as on 01.08.2021. Permissible relaxations in upper age limit for different categories are as under –

• Educational Qualifications (As on 01.08.2021): The candidates must have passed Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board/ University.
• Incentive to NCC Certificate Holders: The incentive to ‘NCC Certificate’ holders will be granted at the following scales:

• Gen/OBC (Male) - Rs 100/- (Rs one hundred only).
• Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Ex servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.

✔ How can I apply for SSC?

• Applications must be submitted in online mode at the official website of the Commission i.e. https://ssc.nic.in.
• In the online Application Form, candidates required to upload the scanned colour passport size photograph in JPEG format (20 KB to 50 KB).
• The photograph should not be more than three months old from the date of publication of the Notice of Examination.
• The date on which the photograph has been taken should be clearly printed on the photograph. Applications without such date printed on the photograph will be rejected. The photograph should be without cap, spectacles and both ears should be visible.

✔ Selection Mode:

The recruitment process will consist of Computer Based Examination (CBE), SSC GD Physical Efficiency Test (PET), SSC GD Physical Standard Test (PST), Medical Examination (DME/ RME) and Document Verification.

Computer Based Examination: The Computer based examination will consist of one objective type paper containing 100 questions carrying 100 marks.
SSC GD Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates have to clear the race within the following time limits-

       

Physical Standard Test (PST): SSC GD (General Duty) Physical Standards for the posts are as follows –

• Height Male 170 cms, Female 157 cms (Few categories of candidates are allowed relaxation in heights).
• Chest Un-expanded 80 cms, Minimum expansion 5 cms (Few categories of candidates are allowed relaxation in chest measurement).

Medical Examination: Candidates will be shortlisted for Detailed Medical Examination (DME) from the pool of candidates who qualify PET/ PST.
Documents Verification: at the time of DME, following documents will be verified - 

• Matriculation/ Secondary Examination Certificate to prove age, name and educational qualification. Domicile Certificate/ Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issued by the competent authority. Valid NCC Certificate, if applicable.
• Certificate from serving defense personnel in the format prescribed at Annexure-III of the notice.
• Undertaking in the format prescribed in Annexure-IV from Ex-Servicemen candidates.
• Caste Certificate (as applicable) in the format prescribed at Annexure-V, Annexure-VI and Annexure-VII of the notice from the candidates seeking reservation/ age relaxation.
• Certificate from candidates who wish to avail relaxation in height/ chest measurement as prescribed in Annexure-VIII of the notice.
• Certificate from District Collector/ District Magistrate in respect of dependent applicants of riot victims as mentioned in category 04/ 05/ 06 under Para-5.1of the Notice.
• Nativity/ Identity Certificate by West Pakistani Refugee in the format prescribed at Annexure-XII of the notice.
